John/Christine Designs is pleased to be showing original oil paintings by Middleton resident Erin Summers. Enjoy viewing a sampling from her diverse collection shown below and reading about what inspires her work. We have enjoyed speaking with Erin one on one as we have found her life story to be most fascinating. Erin will be present at the event to very “colorfully” explain how her life experiences have driven her inspirations over time.

Middleton resident, Erin Lynn (Summers), has her amazing collection of original oil paintings on display in our gallery showroom. Inspired by her life experience in dance, and extensive travels across the globe, her genres span from abstract to realism.
Artist Statement: Erin Lynn (Summers)
“Second star on the right and straight on ‘til morning”… a sentence I have lived by since I was a child, and one that has guided me on my own adventures around the world from Australia to Africa. A small whimsical phrase with such powerful meaning.
I believe that you will never know who you truly are until you have the courage to venture far enough away from home to completely lose yourself, and only then will your true passions emerge.
After traveling the world to exotic and beautiful locations, I began to think, why not create beauty? I chose the medium of oils as it is the only way to truly capture the rich depth and intensity of nature. I cannot say that I always knew I wanted to be an artist. I would instead say that art was always inside me – and the freedom and expression that I felt with art opened the door to passion and pursuit. My artwork is truly an expression of the inspiration created in me.
